Archie is being retired in April 2025. Please see this table that includes indications of the actions previously taken in Archie, and guidance on how you can now carry out these tasks in other systems where relevant

Group admin
Add or remove a role for someone in your group Please see: guidance on managing group roles  
View who has a role in any group This is visible on the conflict of interest submissions page  
Update group details Contact Cochrane Support with details of what needs changing.  
View files related to my group, or files related to reviews by group; Groups were able to export these up to end of February 2025. When storing and using this information, make sure you are meeting all applicable data protection legislation requirements. We have downloaded an archived version for those who did not download before the deadline. Contact Cochrane Support if you want a copy of your archive before the end March 2026, after which point they will be permanently deleted.
Save files relevant to my group This functionality is no longer available in central Cochrane systems. Please use systems from your host institution or personal computer.  
See people who are interested in my group, but who don't have a core role The 'Group member' role no longer exists in central Cochrane systems. See the final paragraph in the Managing My Group Roles guidance. And also please check data protection guidance Contact Cochrane Support if you would like a brief news item from your group to be included in the Supporters' and/or Members' eNews
Person reports
See what reviews a person has published Search for their name on the Cochrane library  
See what roles a person has in Cochrane groups Search for their name on teh DOI submissions page and/or Cochrane Engage  
See a person's training history (please note, Archie stopped recording this many years ago) This functionality is no longer available People will be able to share what learning they have done with Cochrane on their Cochrane account (development required, this is expected in the next 2 years)
See what document roles a person had on reviews published before Editorial Manager was used; This functionality is no longer available  
See person notes Groups were able to export these up to end of February 2025. When storing and using this information, make sure you are meeting all applicable data protection legislation requirements. Please leave recommendations on Cochrane Engage when relevant.  
Resolve duplicate accounts Contact Cochrane Support with details of both accounts, and specify which one should be kept.  
People management
Search for peer reviewers on a specific topic Check similar reviews in the Cochrane Library (will only show reviewers who have agreed to be named).  
View history of peer reviewers Search for them in Cochrane Engage to see if they have recommendations People will be able to share what volunteering they have done for Cochrane (development required, this is expected in the next 2 years)
Reviews
View review versions / history for a review you have access to Use Decision Log and History functionality in RevMan  
View topic list View topics section in CRS. This is a new PICO-based functionality which is in beta mode. Guidance available on this video Groups were reminded to download their topic list before they lost access to Archie. We have downloaded an archived version for those who forgot. Contact Cochrane Support if you need this before end March 2026.
View RevMan5 files related to reviews in my group These have been archived and are available on request until end March 2030. Contact Cochrane Support to request this.  
Search for a review in Cochrane's portfolio (for Central Executive Team who need access) Relevant staff can request a new role type in RevMan Portfolio that will allow them read and/or write access to all reviews in the Cochrane Portfolio. Contact Cochrane Support if you need this.
